Fit tip: Between two sizes? Size up and add a thin insole for a snug feel. Classic canvas and leather styles run true to size; go up half a size if you plan to wear thick socks.

Fit tip: Between two sizes? Size up for extra toe room. Most women’s styles run true to size; scrunch-back and mule styles fit slightly relaxed, so consider sizing down half a size if you like a secure fit.

Fit tip: Leave about a thumb’s width of growing room (around 1 cm) beyond the longest toe. Measure both feet and use the larger one — little feet grow fast, so check the fit every few months.

How to Measure at Home

All you need is a sheet of paper, a pencil and a ruler. Take a couple of minutes and get it right the first time.

  1. Stand on a sheet of paper

    Wear the socks you’ll pair with your new shoes and stand on a sheet of paper against a wall, heel touching the wall.

  2. Trace your foot

    Mark the tip of your longest toe and the back of your heel on the paper.

  3. Measure the length

    Measure the straight-line distance between the two marks with a ruler, in centimetres. Measure both feet.

  4. Match to the chart

    Use the larger foot length and find the closest size in the table above.

Fit Notes

  • Between sizes? Size up — a little extra room is easier to manage than a tight fit.
  • Kids’ shoes: leave about 1 cm of growing room beyond the longest toe.
  • Canvas vs. leather: canvas styles soften and give slightly over time; leather holds its shape.
  • Wide feet? consider going up half a size for a more comfortable fit across the toes.

Merging outdoor influences with an exaggerated jogger sole unit, Gola Alpine Low brings together two distinctive looks to create a perfect hybrid men’s sneaker for the season.  As well as looking great with its EVA midsole and cleated rubber outsole, Alpine Low features a highly water resistant membrane, neatly incorporated into the lining of the shoe to keep feet warm and dry.  In addition, water resistant nylon and suede trims in shadow grey complement the upper which is finished with on-trend rubberised detailing in the form of black foxing and Gola wingflash branding. Hiker laces finish the look – it’s a sneaker but not as we know it.
